The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Discipline of Psychiatry in partnership with Boston University Medical Campus and the AGMHI will host the annual UKZN Psychiatry Research Week from 16-20 February 2026. The training will be accessible to all professionals, researchers, students and trainees within the health sciences and mental health disciplines. The UKZN Psychiatry Research Week equips participants with the skills needed to conduct high-quality research that will meaningfully improve mental health care in Africa and the diaspora. Topics covered include epidemiology, biostatistics, qualitative research, scientific writing, as well as academic talks from international research faculty. Trainings will be presented in a hybrid format to maximize reach and accessibility.
